چکیده

Dido’s Problem The Roman poet Publius Vergilius Maro (70–19 B.C.) tells in his epic Aeneid the story of queen Dido, the daughter of the Phoenician king of the 9th century B.C. A REVIEW ON SEQUENCING APPROACHES FOR MIXED-MODEL JUST-IN-TIME PRODUCTION SYSTEM

Research interests have been focused on the concept of penalizing jobs both for being early and for being tardy because not only of modern competitive industrial challenges of providing a variety of products at a very low cost by smoothing productions but also of its increasing and exciting computer applications. Here, sequencing approaches of the mixed- model just-in-time production systems is...

Calculus of Variations

The calculus of variations is a branch of mathematical analysis that studies extrema and critical points of functionals (or energies). Here, by functional we mean a mapping from a function space to the real numbers. One of the first questions that may be framed within this theory is Dido’s isoperimetric problem (see Subsection 2.3): to find the shape of a curve of prescribed perimeter that maxi...

Some properties of band matrix and its application to the numerical solution one-dimensional Bratu's problem

A Class of new methods based on a septic non-polynomial spline function for the numerical solution one-dimensional Bratu's problem are presented. The local truncation errors and the methods of order 2th, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, and 12th, are obtained. The inverse of some band matrixes are obtained which are required in proving the convergence analysis of the presented method. Associated boundary f...
